What does a Physician Assistant do?
Physician Assistants work under the supervision of Doctor as a "Physician extender." In surgery, Physician Assistants are the Doctor's first assistant, an extra set of eyes and hands, working as a team from beginning to end. In the office, Physician Assistants can be seen for consultations or check-ups. They obtain medical histories, diagnose, perform minor outpatient procedures (including injections), and can write prescriptions. They work with the physician to provide your overall care plan and treatment. Keep in mind, if you see a Physician Assistant in the office, your Doctor is still nearby and informed about your visit and treatment plan.

Let us know if it is your preference to only to see the doctor.
