Dr. Mannherz graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. with a B.S. before attending Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his Internship at Framingham Union Hospital in Massachusetts and Residencies in Orthopaedic Surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children and Jefferson Hand Rehabilitation Center, all in Philadelphia. He also completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Alabama Sports Medicine Center in Birmingham, Alabama. He is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His appointments include Medical Director of The Holy Redeemer Sports Medicine Center.  He is the former Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at Holy Redeemer Hospital. He is on staff at Holy Redeemer Hospital and Surgery Center, the Huntingdon Valley Surgery Center, and The Muve Surgery Center in Warminster, PA.

Dr. Mannherz has professional memberships that include The Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Alumni Association of Albert Einstein Medical Center, and American Sports Medicine Fellowship Society.
